Well, I didn’t make it to the gym yesterday, I overslept by a pretty large amount, so I decided to just skip the gym for the day. Today, I decided to go for a run here at home to make up for it. Got myself all dressed in my usual gym clothes, made sure I had listening material, and headed out.
Our sidewalks in this neighborhood are awful. They’re uneven and in some places are broken up practically to gravel. It really didn’t make for easy walking, let alone jogging. I did actually run part of the way. I wasn’t able to run very far at any given time. I’d just run until I was out of breath, then switch over to walking until I was able to breathe normally. I wasn’t even running all that fast, just more of a jog, really. It just left me winded pretty quickly. I’m hoping if I can keep doing that, I’ll eventually build up my endurance and lung capacity to be able to just jog the entire way.
I also wasn’t able to keep walking as long as I’d have liked to. My intention was to walk/run for an hour this evening. But as I was headed away from the house, I started to notice the smell of smoke. Someone in the neighborhood was burning yard waste. Since I’m allergic, I figured it probably wasn’t a great idea for me to push it too much with smoke in the air, so instead of the full hour, I only walked for about 25 minutes, which ended up being around 1.31 miles round trip. Not as satisfying as I’d hoped, but I needed to get back to the house to take some benadryl so that my allergies wouldn’t start acting up.
My running app seemed to be working better. The music didn’t skip around this time like it had before, but I still can’t listen to audiobooks or podcasts while I use it. So, I’ll be looking for some other alternative.

Glad to hear about your app. Sounds great! Don’t beat yourself up, you are doing some walking which is great even if it isn’t the amount you wanted. Keep it up.
It is great, other than that I can’t listen to anything I want to listen to, and it has to be replaced.
